Top 5 Ways How To Get Away With Underspending

Underspending on public works and infrastructures is perhaps one of the most underexposed blunders of the Aquino administration. Considering that the country is riddled with joblessness, poverty, and hunger, and is experiencing a scarcity of public infrastructures and services, there is NO VIABLE EXCUSE for underspending.

Here are the top 5 reasons why his administration was able to get away with it:

5. Blame Game

Kasalanan ni GMA kung bakit tayo nagka leche leche.

Aquino Blame
GMA: Crush mo ko noh?
This was his tune for almost 6 years. In fact, I would go as much to say that GMA, overall, was a better president than him any time of the day. see Find that Hidden Mickey ang Peg
Aquino is also notorious for his habit of lambasting the Philippine press and media as "negative." In short, puro pa bad vibes daw ang ating mga mamamahayag.

4. Saving is Good

Personal level? Pills! Government level? No. This is a gross misrepresentation of government underspending. The Aquino government has been abusing the people's ignorance in pushing this propaganda.

3. Showbiz

Sa kasikatan ng mga cronies at miyembro ng kabinete ni Aquino, tiyak na hindi na gaanong mauusisa ng taumbayan ang mga ganitong isyu.
Sunburn Kris Aquino

The public spotlight is drawn away from him to the more erratic and sublime. After all, is it his fault that he has a narcissistic and neurotic sister, like Kris Aquino? Or a cabinet that almost never gets anything done right?

2. Shamelessness

The only times Aquino showed humility was when he was trying to win our votes during his previous elections. These days, he is quick to quip brazen remarks highlighting his self-proclaimed achievements and discounting his catastrophic blunders.

Noynoy Aquino
Aquino: Kayo ang boss ko- kaya nga binigyan ko kayo ng tag bebente!

  1. Budget Process

In our country, the president is the one who gets to decide who gets how much in the form of budget of expenditures and other sources of financing. Imagine what could have happened had we not elected an inutile as a president.

Take into consideration that plurality of the seats in the lower house and a formidable number occupied in the upper house of congress are occupied by his political party, LP. It's virtually impossible that his administration could have had encountered a bottle neck in passing bills that would introduce and/or improve our existing public infrastructure and services.

Ramon Money Talks Bautista

Don’t even think for a second that you can fool anybody into buying your “support” for Roxas is anywhere near solemn. I recall that just recently you were making a laughing stock out of Roxas, and then all of a sudden, you had a change of heart and are now campaigning for him. Quite the impressive transition, don’t you think?

As a fan, I am quite disappointed to see you transform from a revered character into one no longer worthy of anybody’s trust. From famous to notorious. From a person who seemed to have principles to a person unquestioningly without. Do you know why? Because you are a classic example of a sellout and nobody likes a sellout.

I have been in deep solidarity with what you stood for- humor under the guise of a narrative that at times poked fun at the shamelessly lewd Philippine politics. I’ll even advise against grabbing a placard and picketing any time of the day in favor of your method. After all, it’s a new age and we all need to be intellectual and shit. But you are done being an intellectual. It has run its course, and now, you are just what’s left— shit.

Ramon, even as a celebrity, I hardly even think that anybody from your followership (who didn’t already) would be suaded to enlist their support for Roxas. Unfortunately, his public relations just wasted their money on you— but I could be wrong! It may be a demonstration that Roxas has the appeal to suade even his detractors. Because eventually money talks; more so for the likes of you, Ramon.

Okay, maybe ridiculing someone does not ultimately mean disapproval. Maybe you were just having good ol’ fun and, of course, it’s only funny when you’re not the one being laughed at, right? Exactly the reason why you are now crying foul and calling the jeering folk, judgmental. As if that would make your actions pertaining to the matter any less vulnerable to scrutiny.

Ramon, the popularity you have right now- you don’t deserve it. I hope people see less of you or worse, make an example out of you. But still, I sincerely hope that you make it through all of this negativity and hate with a lesson learned. Your feelings may be scathed and your integrity (if you still have any left) and reputation- tarnished, but in the end, all of it is supposed to make you stronger.

Interview with Karen Davila

Let me begin by thanking you, Alma – for doing God’s work. I believe that your prayers shall not go unheard and sincerely hope that you garner as much support you will need this coming elections. Interviews, regardless how they go, are just one of the many hurdles every hardened candidate must endure. Who is Karen Davila anyway and why should anybody prepare for an interview with her, right?

Alma, I sympathize with you. I am boggled why our countrymen have made a mockery of you and your interview. Like you, I am a person who values honesty above all else, and for certain, a characteristic any person running for public office should embody. People needed to see how thick you are. For me, I think it’s somewhat refreshing to see a candidate interview so raw. Bereft of deception and pretention.

A Celebrity Turned Politician

Our countrymen, in my opinion, are ingrates. You have been a public servant for a very long time. How could most of them forgotten and dismissed all of those years you have toiled from a mere interview? If everybody just paid attention to the many, many things that you have done in service of our country!

In fact, it would be helpful if everybody just took note that neither cluelessness nor being a celebrity is a disqualification from running for higher public office. Just a reminder, there are more celebrities out there running for public office! Aside from looking good and possessing talents, most of them, like yourself, can make people chuckle! What else could they ask for in a leader, Alma? What else???

Foolish Voters

I respect your approach during your (what many considered) infamous interview: To show everybody that focus on reproductive health, marriage equality, and issues of the like should be kept at a minimum. These things shouldn’t have been the highlight of your interview! Karen’s intentions to alienate you was clear and losing composure under all that duress is perfectly understandable.

But worry not! For idiocy in our country is a trait adorned not scorned. Just listen to all that clamor, Alma! Our countrymen would rather make a fool out of you rather than themselves. Considering they are the people who were responsible for electing you to lead a public office. Now let us tell them Alma, who the joke is on who!
